Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said young people have an important role to play in the national effort to eliminate tuberculosis (TB).

She was speaking at the national launch of the Joint Squad for Health (JOSH) teams by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda at Bharat Mandapam. Ms. Gupta said sustained efforts are being made to eliminate TB under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She said the initiative would bring together the health, youth and defence sectors and encourage wider public participation in the campaign.
