Delhi CM, L-G launch initiatives to strengthen health care

Delhi's Chief Minister and Lieutenant Governor have launched several healthcare initiatives, including a new SOTTO headquarters and an expanded newborn screening program. These efforts aim to integrate technology and improved public health systems to enhance patient care.
Why it matters
The expansion of these health schemes reflects a policy focus on improving public health infrastructure and accessibility in the capital region.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Tuesday virtually launched several initiatives, including the headquarters of the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) at G.B. Pant Hospital, a Nursing Home Management System portal, and the expansion of ANMOL (Advanced Newborn Monitoring and Optimal Life Care) scheme, according to a statement from the CM office.
The initiatives were launched under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Thyagaraj Stadium on Tuesday. Health minister Pankaj Singh was also present at the event.
The government said that such initiatives are aimed to further strengthen Delhi’s healthcare system by bringing together modern technology, effective public health systems and a humane approach.
