Delhi building collapse: CM Gupta meets injured students at AIIMS, assures families of all help
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the AIIMS Trauma Centre to support victims of a building collapse in Satya Niketan that resulted in seven deaths. The government has promised to cover all medical expenses and has ordered a safety audit of all PG hostels across the city.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) visited the AIIMS Trauma Centre and met the injured students and their families following the building collapse in Satya Niketan, assuring them of full support and the best possible medical treatment.
Ms. Gupta said 12 people were rescued from the collapsed building, of whom seven had died, including two labourers.

"One of the labourers is admitted here and has sustained a leg injury. Currently, two students are stable and will be discharged today, while one student is critical and is in the ICU," she said.
