Krish had waited hours for news about his friend Abhishek, whom he has known since their school days in Varanasi. The two are now second-year B Com students at Motilal Nehru College. While Krish lives with his family in Ghaziabad, Abhishek was staying in a PG in Satya Niketan for the past two years.
Abhishek was rescued from the debris and brought to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. A friend who managed to see him inside told Krish that his condition was critical.
“I couldn’t even recognise him at first,” he said.
