Delegation of Sri Lanka's ruling party to visit India under 'KNOW BJP' initiative

A five-member delegation of Sri Lanka's ruling party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) will embark on a four-day visit to India, during which they will meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and BJP national president Nitin Nabin, among others, the BJP said on Saturday.

The JVP delegation, led by its general secretary Tilvin Silva, will visit India from September 27 to October 1 on invitation under the "KNOW BJP" initiative, the party said.

Other members of the delegation are JVP's central committee member Chandrika Adikari, Member of Parliament Aboobucker Athambawa, district committee member Kabilan Suntharamoorthy and member of the party's international department Kalpana Madhubhashini.

They are scheduled to arrive on Sunday (September 26, 2026).
