NEW DELHI: Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Friday welcomed the first ascent mountaineering expedition team, which successfully summited 20 previously unclimbed peaks above 6,000 meters in Ladakh in just 23 days.The flag-in ceremony was held at Kartavya Bhavan-2 in New Delhi, in the presence of the defence minister and other senior officials.According to the defence ministry, the expedition was carried out by a team of 20 highly skilled climbers from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, led by Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal.Speaking with the team, Rajnath praised the climbers' courage and determination in achieving this historic feat, calling the expedition a reflection of…
