Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson H. A. Venkatesh has called for declaration of July 25 as ‘Yuvodaya Day’ or ‘Day of Youth Awakening’ across the country every year as the date reminds Indian politics that the voice of the nation’s youth cannot be ignored.
In a statement here on Monday, Mr. Venkatesh said, “July 25 is not merely a date. It is a symbol of youth power, student movements and democratic awakening. The day has entered the pages of history by demonstrating that when the youth, who shape the country’s future, raise their voice in unison, even the most powerful government is compelled to bow to public opinion.”
