Deceased in Kombat accident identified

A pregnant woman and her young son were identified as victims of a fatal vehicle accident near Kombat, Namibia. A third passenger later died in a hospital, following a crash caused when the driver lost control after hitting an animal.

A pregnant woman and her son (3) who died in a vehicle accident near Kombat last Tuesday, have been identified by their relatives.
The police community affairs commander for the Otjozondjupa region, senior inspector Maureen Mbeha, on Monday said the deceased have been identified as Beno Hausiku (24), who was pregnant, and her son, Athanasius Ngoma.
A third occupant of the vehicle, Frans Museke (28) who sustained serious injuries in the crash, died in a Windhoek hospital on Thursday after being transferred there for specialised treatment.
The accident occurred around 01h10 on Tuesday some five kilometres south-west of the Kombat settlement.
The police officer said the driver had allegedly struck a rabbit and lost control of the seven-seater vehicle, which overturned and rolled several times.
