MANILA, Philippines - The death toll from the combined effects of Tropical Cyclones Luis and Maymay and the southwest monsoon has risen to 26, while more than 5.1 million people have been affected nationwide, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Tuesday.In its 6 a.m. situation report, the NDRRMC said 17 people were injured and one person remains missing.Benguet recorded the highest number of fatalities with 15, including 10 in Baguio City, two in La Trinidad and three in Atok, all due to landslides.Other fatalities were reported in La Union, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon, Negros Occidental and the National Capital Region (NCR).The NDRRMC…
