DBS Vantage Card: Keep or cancel?

The DBS Vantage Card is undergoing significant changes in late 2026, including the removal of spend-based fee waivers and adjustments to earn rates. Financial analysts are evaluating whether the card remains a viable option for high-net-worth individuals.
Why it matters
Changes to premium credit card benefits impact consumer financial planning and the value proposition of banking loyalty programs.
The DBS Vantage Card has never been the star of the S$120K pack, but so long as you could meet the S$60,000 minimum spend for an annual fee waiver, it was basically a free card (S$60,000 sounds dauntingly high, but it included some transactions which might surprise you — iykyk).
However, DBS ended the spend-based fee waiver in August 2026, and the ALL Accor+ Explorer membership — one of the Vantage’s key benefits — was devalued during the transition from Accor Plus (not to mention you can now get a 6-month trial for free with any Visa Infinite card). And with the local earn rate set to be cut on 2 November 2026, is that the final nail in the coffin?
