A daughter of paedophile Eamon Cooke has revealed that the sex offender was given a life sentence for sexually abusing her.
The conviction could not be made public for legal reasons, but Karen has decided to waive her anonymity.
Cooke received a 10-year sentence in 2002 for repeatedly sexually abusing girls from May 1974 to January 1989.
The conviction was subsequently overturned before he was reconvicted and sentenced to another 10-year sentence for the abuse of two girls from 1974-1978.
In July 2010, Cooke stood trial once more, this time for crimes against Karen. The charges included 12 counts of rape and 17 counts of sexual assault.
She said: "I'm unfortunately always going to be his kid. Whether I like that or not, it is what it is.
"So rather than hiding from it, because I don't know, it's like as if people then associate you with him.
