Dasara 2026 Gold Cards will be released in a week, seat numbers to be printed this year: Mysuru Deputy Commissioner

Mysuru Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy announced that Gold Cards for the 2026 Dasara festival will feature printed seat numbers to prevent seating confusion. The cards will be available online next week at the same price as the previous year.
Why it matters
The move aims to improve event management and visitor experience for a major cultural festival in India.
The Gold Cards for Mysuru Dasara 2026 are expected to be released within a week, said Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru G. Lakshmikanth Reddy.
Speaking to reporters after a traditional puja to the Dasara elephants on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi on Monday (September 14), Mr. Reddy said the authorities had decided to print seat numbers on the Dasara Gold Cards this year.
Not only will the Gold Cards bear a seat number, the corresponding seats at the venue will also sport the number — a move aimed at addressing complaints from Gold Card holders in previous years about being unable to locate their seats in the enclosure.
