Danny Cipriani and AnnaLynne McCord married in a backyard ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The ex England rugby player, 38, and his US actress bride, 39, tied the knot in the first of three ceremonies, in a low-key celebration attended by their US friends and family.

The couple’s nuptials sparked controversy last month when it was revealed they were requesting family and friends foot their £10,000 bill themselves via donations on their wedding website.

After their wedding on Saturday, the couple plan to have two more ceremonies – one in London and a 'traditional celebration' in Cambodia.

The funding drama didn’t appear to have put a dampener on the day though as the newlyweds posed for photos in their LA neighbourhood.
