The programme has been organised by Royal Collection Trust and the charity Arts for Dementia, with sessions designed and delivered by English National Ballet (ENB).

Director of engagement at ENB, Fleur Derbyshire-Fox said dance was not only about cognitive benefits "but also about the physical, emotional and social benefit".

"Being in Buckingham Palace has such resonance for the people who come to these classes. It's a rich tapestry - looking at the royal collections and being in this space. It's really inspiring for the participants."

Four sessions are taking place as part of the programme, with the same group of 20 participants returning to the palace for each one.
