A 56-year-old dairy farm owner was arrested by Pocharam IT Corridor Police for allegedly using banned oxytocin injections to artificially enhance milk yield in buffaloes.
The accused, identified as M. Rangaiah Yadav, owns a dairy farm and also operates a water plant business.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided his dairy farm at Maktha village and found him administering the banned injections to buffaloes. Five vials of oxytocin injections were seized during the operation.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is under way.
