Daily Sun joins Men in Heels cancer drive!

The Daily Sun has partnered with the Men in Heels Walkathon to raise awareness for prostate and male breast cancer. The campaign uses the unconventional sight of men in heels to spark necessary conversations about early detection and health screening.
Why it matters
This initiative addresses cultural stigmas surrounding men's health and cancer, aiming to increase screening rates in underserved communities.
THE heels are coming out, but this time they carry a message that could save lives.

Daily Sun has joined forces with the Men in Heels Walkathon as an official media partner.
The campaign aims to get Mzansi men talking about prostate cancer, male breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
The partnership comes as Men in Heels prepares for its fourth walkathon at Cedar Square Shopping Centre in Fourways on Saturday, 10 October 2026.
Founded by Lerato Molete, managing director of Black Cherrie Management Holdings, said the initiative has been five years in the making.
The sight of men walking in heels has become the campaign’s trademark.
However, Lerato said the footwear is simply a way to start conversations people often avoid.
