Daily oral GLP-1 medication linked to similar weight loss across three menopausal stages

A new analysis presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes shows that the oral weight-loss medication orforglipron is equally effective across all menopausal stages. The study suggests the drug provides consistent body weight reduction regardless of a woman's hormonal status.
Why it matters
This finding is significant for obesity treatment, as it indicates that hormonal changes during menopause do not necessarily hinder the efficacy of GLP-1 receptor agonists.
