Daily drinking water supply to all wards in Thoothukudi Corporation from August 15, announces Mayor Jegan Periyasamy

Thoothukudi Corporation Mayor Jegan Periyasamy on Friday said that daily drinking water supply would be implemented in all wards from August 15, and all drains in the city would be desilted before the onset of northeast monsoon.
Mr. Jegan made the announcement at the Thoothukudi Corporation Council meeting, held in the presence of Thoothukudi Corporation Commissioner S. Priyanka and Deputy Mayor S. Jenitta
Addressing the meeting, the Mayor stated that various development works had been carried out across all the 60 wards, including 24x7 drinking water supply currently being implemented in 10 wards on a trial basis. He added that steps would be taken to extend the project to all wards in phases.
