<p>The Department of Agriculture (DA) said that cooperation between Southeast Asian countries and India could help address the rising food security threats in the region. </p><p>Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said India is an important partner due to its experience in agriculture, food systems, research, and technology.</p><p>Tiu Laurel noted that cross-border shocks - such as climate change geopolitical conflicts and volatile fuel fertilizer and transport costs - make food security a shared regional issue rather than a domestic one.</p><p>"Geopolitical and economic uncertainties, climate-related tragedies, and volatility in energy, transport, food and agricultural input markets continue to test the resilience of our food systems and supply chains," he said during the 9th ASEAN-India…
