Cyclists seen being chased by Traffic Police officers near West Coast Park nabbed
Singapore authorities conducted a joint enforcement operation against cyclists and personal mobility device users for various traffic violations. The operation resulted in multiple fines and the seizure of non-compliant equipment to improve road safety.

A group of more than 10 cyclists seen on video being chased by Traffic Police (TP) officers in the wee hours of Aug 14 morning along West Coast Avenue is among 17 errant cyclists and one personal mobility device (PMD) user nabbed in a joint enforcement operation with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) that day.
Police said in a news release on Sunday (Aug 23) that the operations were conducted in the vicinity of Jalan Anak Bukit and West Coast Highway, adding that a total of 26 offences were detected, with 18 individuals issued with composition fines.
Among the offences detected, 13 individuals were issued with summonses for using a bicycle on a road during the hours of darkness without displaying the required white light at the front and/or red light or red reflector at the rear.
