The Cyberabad Traffic Police apprehended 182 motorists during a special drunk-driving enforcement drive conducted over the weekend.
Of the total offenders, 154 were riding two-wheelers, while seven were driving three-wheelers. Another 20 were driving four-wheelers and one was operating a heavy vehicle.
According to the police, 149 offenders recorded blood alcohol concentration (BAC) levels between 36 mg/100 ml and 200 mg/100 ml. Another 25 had BAC levels ranging from 201 mg/100 ml to 300 mg/100 ml, while eight recorded BAC levels between 301 mg/100 ml and 550 mg/100 ml. All 182 offenders will be produced before the court for further action.
