A single camera capable of spotting multiple traffic violations could soon become a key enforcement tool on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR), as Cyberabad Police prepare to expand technology-driven surveillance on the high-speed corridor.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh on Friday, September 18, reviewed the Multi Violation Detection System (MVDS), which uses a single camera to detect different types of traffic violations through video analytics and automated detection.

During a visit to the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) Control Room, the Commissioner reviewed real-time surveillance of vehicles travelling on the ORR and inspected the technological systems being used for traffic enforcement and road safety.

Officials demonstrated how traffic movement across the ORR is monitored from the control room and explained the functioning of the newly installed single-camera MVDS.
