Cyberabad Police, in coordination with the Telangana Labour Department, organised a Building and Other Construction Workers’ (BOCW) registration card distribution and labour welfare awareness programme at SAS I Towers, Khajaguda, on Thursday.
Around 256 eligible construction workers from different States received registration cards at the programme, conducted under the aegis of Raidurgam Police Station. Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh addressed the gathering and highlighted the welfare schemes available through the Telangana Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board.
Workers were informed about benefits such as ESI, EPF, insurance coverage, financial assistance for marriage and maternity, compensation in case of accidental or natural death, disability support, hospital treatment, funeral expenses, skill development training and free health check-ups.
