Cyberabad police and municipal departments have stepped up arrangements at immersion sites to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the Ganesh immersion, with senior officials inspecting facilities on Wednesday.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh, GHMC Commissioner G. Srujana and other officials reviewed arrangements through a video conference before inspecting immersion points, including the lakes at IDPL and Suraram.

The officials reviewed security, traffic management, barricading, lighting and deployment of expert swimmers at the immersion sites. Commissioner Ramesh directed police and municipal staff to coordinate closely to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience. He also instructed officials to prepare for the expected influx of devotees and vehicles, identify alternative routes to prevent congestion and deploy additional police personnel and barricades wherever required. Safety standards at the immersion points were also reviewed.
