NEW DELHI: India added more medals and strengthened its campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Day 6, thanks to a historic silver from Gulveer Singh, another podium finish in weightlifting, and a strong showing in boxing.Gulveer was the standout performer, becoming the first Indian ever to win a medal in the men's 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games. The Army runner clocked 27:49.78 and stayed with the leaders throughout before finishing second behind Australia's Ky Robinson with a strong final-lap sprint.Harjinder Kaur also impressed by winning silver in the women's 69kg weightlifting event with a career-best total of 227kg (101kg snatch and 126kg clean and jerk).
