Customs seizes hydroponic ganja at Chennai airport
Chennai customs officials seized over 4.6 kilograms of high-grade hydroponic ganja from a passenger arriving at Chennai airport from Kuala Lumpur. The suspect was arrested and remanded to judicial custody following a successful passenger profiling operation.

A passenger who arrived from Kuala Lumpur was intercepted based on passenger profiling by customs officials on Sunday. During the X-Ray screening and examination of passenger’s check-in baggage, officials discovered 49 packets, which had a greenish, lumpy substance with a sharp and pungent odour, according to a press release.
They suspected it to be high grade hydroponic ganja. The substance weighed 4,639 grams and upon testing with the Narcotic Drug Detection Kit, it tested positive for ganja.
