Current politics will not allow a Kapu leader to become CM of A.P., says MLC Somu Veerraju

Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Somu Veerraju has said the current political environment does not allow any leader from the Kapu community to become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at an event held here on Monday to pay tributes to Kapu leaders Mudragada Padmanabham and G.S. Rao, Mr. Veerraju, a former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party State unit, said, “We, the Kapu community, need to deeply understand today’s politics in Andhra Pradesh that will not let any Kapu leader become the Chief Minister. Everybody needs to introspect why towering personalities from the community are not being allowed to join the parties, including the BJP.'’
