CS Mbadi: 1,543 public entities now using government e-procurement platform

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi announced that 1,543 public entities in Kenya have adopted the government's Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. The platform aims to increase transparency in public spending, with nearly 10,000 tenders processed since its launch in 2025.

Kisumu County led the rankings with 467 contracts worth Sh1.39 billion already captured in the system. Siaya County ranked second with 163 contracts worth Sh851 million, followed by Murang’a, Baringo, Vihiga, Busia, Nandi, Bomet, Samburu, Migori, Homa Bay, Trans Nzoia, Lamu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kakamega, Tharaka Nithi, West Pokot, Machakos and Kajiado.
