CS directs departments to be in constant touch with firms that assured investments in Telangana

The Chief Secretary of Telangana has directed government departments to maintain close contact with firms that have pledged investments in the state. The initiative aims to streamline clearances and foster an industry-friendly environment to boost economic growth.
Why it matters
It reflects state-level efforts to attract foreign and domestic capital to drive regional economic development and job creation.
Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju directed officials of the Industries and associated departments to ensure constant interaction with firms that have committed to make investments in the State.
Steps should be taken to examine the investment proposals made by domestic and global firms, and the departments concerned should ensure effective coordination in securing early clearances so that the commitments materialise into investments at the ground level. The Chief Secretary was participating in the first meeting of the Invest Telangana governing council on Wednesday.
The governing council forms part of the efforts to attract companies to ensure that Telangana is the best investment destination in the country. The meeting reviewed steps that should be taken to strengthen an industry-friendly environment, ensure faster clearances, create basic amenities and secure the cooperation that would be required from the government’s side for accelerating investments.
