Crypto political group details list of U.S. congressional allies its backing this year

The crypto-focused political group 'Stand With Crypto' has released a list of bipartisan congressional candidates it is supporting for the upcoming U.S. elections. The group aims to influence crypto policy by backing lawmakers who support digital asset legislation, regardless of their party affiliation.
Why it matters
This demonstrates the growing influence of single-issue interest groups in U.S. politics and their attempt to shape the regulatory landscape for digital assets.
Among the bipartisan list are prominent leaders in Congress' most recent crypto push, including House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn "GT" Thompson and Bryan Steil, the Republican who leads the digital assets subcommittee within the House Financial Services Committee.
But if the political tide continues to shift toward Democrats, that party could end up with the majority (and the committee chairs) in the House after the November elections. And Stand With Crypto, which openly grades political candidates on their crypto support, is also endorsing such well-placed Democrats as Jim Costa, who ranks highly in the House Agriculture Committee's minority party and could be a contender for the chairmanship.
