CRPF personnel assaulted by wife, brother-in-law

A CRPF personnel was assaulted by his wife and brother-in-law following a domestic dispute in Tamil Nadu. The victim was hospitalized with injuries after being attacked with a wooden log.

A CRPF personnel, M. Manikandan (37), was assaulted by his brother-in-law, A. Lingaraja (39) on instigation of his wife, Thangarani (35) in Peraiyur taluk on Wednesday.
The police said that Manikandan, who is working in Chhattisgarh, had come home at L. Kottanipatti on 20-day leave.
During his stay at home, he had frequent quarrels with Thangarani.
Meanwhile, on Thursday night, her brother, Lingaraja, had come to his home and questioned him over their frequent fights.
This resulted in a quarrel that turned to worse when Lingaraja bit him on Manikandan’s chest.
Later, Thangarani had shouted at his brother to kill her husband following which Lingaraja had attacked him with a wooden log on his knee and threatened him with dire consequences.
