Crocombe, Donald earn maiden call-ups for England

Aneurin Donald and Henry Crocombe have earned their maiden England call-ups after being named in separate 16-player squads for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. Donald, the Derbyshire opening batter, has been rewarded for an outstanding season with a place in England's T20I squad, while Sussex seamer Crocombe has been included in the ODI group after impressing the selectors during the summer. Harry Brook will captain both sides, with Jamie Overton also returning to the England setup after missing the white-ball series against India earlier this summer because of a thigh injury. Meanwhile, Phil Salt will miss the series because of a right quad injury, while Jacob Bethell remains unavailable after undergoing successful surgery on his injured knee earlier this week. He remains on course in his rehabilitation.
