A critical incident probe has been launched by police after a man’s death in Palmerston North yesterday. Police said the incident unfolded after officers spotted a person with an outstanding arrest warrant in a vehicle on Wilson Crescent in Highbury at 11.20am. "On seeing Police, the vehicle stopped and pulled into a driveway, and two people then fled on foot," Inspector Phil Ward said. Officers chased one of the occupants after recognising they had a warrant. They were taken into custody. A second person, who had not been chased, was then found unresponsive at a neighbouring property.
