Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal future uncertain as sister claims he 'deserved more'
Cristiano Ronaldo has left the Portugal national team camp following a dispute with the head coach, leading to uncertainty about his international future. His sister has publicly criticized the team and the Portuguese public for their treatment of the veteran player.
Why it matters
The departure of a global sports icon from his national team creates significant media attention and impacts the landscape of international football.
Cristiano Ronaldo 's sister has declared that Portugal do not deserve the veteran superstar following his decision to walk away from the national team.
Ronaldo, 41, stormed off after Portugal's victory over Norway on Sunday when head coach Jorge Jesus chose not to bring him on. The situation escalated further following a heated meeting involving Ronaldo, his former Al-Nassr manager, and the President of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), with the 41-year-old taking to social media to confirm that he had decided to leave the camp early.
While he will not feature in fixtures against Denmark and Norway, it remains uncertain whether Ronaldo has officially brought the curtain down on his illustrious international career.
