DHAKA: Days after Mohammed Shahabuddin resigned as Bangladesh's president, complaints were filed against him with the Bangladesh International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Sunday, seeking a probe into his role in "crimes against humanity" committed during the '2024 uprising' against Sheikh Hasina government.The charges stem from the same events for which former PM Hasina was sentenced to death in absentia.Shahabuddin - a longtime ally of Hasina who was forced to flee Bangladesh due to the uprising - resigned on Friday, citing health complications."The opposition, including National Citizen Party, has raised the allegations against Shahabuddin. They have every right to do so.
