Cricket Australia (CA) has agreed to invite private investment into the Big Bash Leagues, starting with the sale of the Melbourne Renegades franchise.
The success of that process will determine whether CA considers taking other franchises to market.
CA says it intends to have the Renegades playing under new ownership for the 2027/28 Big Bash season.
