Credit outflow for Tirunelveli district for current fiscal put at ₹24,471 crore

Tirunelveli district’s annual credit plan for the fiscal 2026 – 2027, which was released by District Collector Anand Mohan here on Tuesday evening, has put the priority loan potential at ₹24,471.22 crore.
Agriculture, the predominant sector of the district, has once again taken the lion’s share.
While ₹19,606.34 crore will be given as loan for farmers, dairy farmers and allied activities, the micro, small and medium industries of the district will receive the credit of ₹3,569.30 crore. Apart from this, ample allocations has been made for giving educational loan (₹42.16 crore), housing loan (₹3512.63 crore) and ₹901.79 for other priority sectors, including services sector.
