A construction worker was crushed to death when the roof of a building under demolition suddenly crashed down on Thursday.
When the demolition of an old building in Munneerpallam near here was going on, the concrete roof of the structure suddenly collapsed. The debris trapped construction worker Thalavai, 36. After the fire and rescue services retrieved him, Thalavai was rushed to the Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Munneerpallam police have registered a case.
