Apollo Hospitals organised a hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training programme for 250 police personnel at the Police Barracks here on Tuesday to mark World Heart Day.
The programme was aimed at strengthening emergency response and equipping frontline personnel with essential lifesaving skills. Commissioner of Police Shankhabrata Bagchi, Apollo Hospitals COO Krishna Prasad, senior cardiologist D.K. Barauh, Dr. Panigrahi and others attended the programme.
The training covered the recognition of cardiac emergencies, timely initiation of CPR and effective chest compressions until professional medical assistance arrives.
