A delegation of CPI leaders led by the party’s Puducherry secretary A.M. Saleem on Thursday (September 10, 2026) met Tamil Nadu Minister for Water Resources and TVK general secretary N. Anand in Chennai to formally seek support for the October 6 bypoll. The delegation briefed the TVK leader on the CPI’s support base in the Thattanchavady constituency, Mr. Saleem said in a release.
