CPI(M) launches campaign for Cauvery drinking water in Tiruppur villages

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Wednesday began its week-long campaign demanding supply of drinking water from River Cauvery to villages in Kangayam block.
Party leaders and members visited households in Veeranampalayam, Thambureddipalayam, Sivanmalai, Pothiyampalayam, Paranchervazhi, Paapini, Pazhayakottai, Padiyur, Nathakadayur, Marudurai, Maravapalayam, Keeranur, Ganapathipalayam, Balasamudiram Pudur and Alampadi. The campaign will culminate on August 31.
