The CPI(M)’s expanded district committee meeting began at Ponnani on Saturday (October 3), with the Leader of Opposition and party Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurating the two-day session.
The meeting is focused on strengthening the party’s work among the people and planning organisational activities in response to current political conditions.
Senior leader Paloli Mohammedkutty hoisted the party flag at the RV Palace auditorium, Chamravattom. District secretary V.P. Anil presented the organisational report after the opening session.
A general discussion of the report began after group discussions and will continue on Sunday (October 4). The meeting will conclude after the leadership responds to the issues raised.
