CPI demands white paper on fake drug manufacturing cases in Puducherry

The Communist Party of India has urged Chief Minister N. Rangasamy to publish a white paper on the arrest and seizure made in spurious drug manufacturing cases in Puducherry.
In a statement, party local unit secretary A. M Saleem said the spurious drug manufacturing case first surfaced last year in Puducherry. The main accused in the case Raja alias Valliappan was arrested by CB-CID. The case was later transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation, he said.
A few days ago, the police busted another drug manufacturing unit in Puducherry. Therefore, the Chief Minister should publish a white paper on the arrests made, seizures and status of drug manufacturing units functioning in Puducherry, the CPI leader said.
