COVID-19 vaccination to become part of Singapore’s national immunisation schedules from Oct 12

Singapore will incorporate COVID-19 vaccinations into its routine national immunisation schedules starting October 12. The recommendation targets high-risk groups, including the elderly and the medically vulnerable.
Why it matters
This shift marks a transition in public health policy, treating COVID-19 as an endemic disease managed through standard immunization frameworks.
COVID-19 vaccination will be recommended for people aged 60 and above, medically vulnerable people aged six months and above, and residents of aged care facilities.
