A family’s journey to a pre-wedding ceremony turned tragic when a car carrying five members overturned at Lingampeta village in Chandurthi mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Saturday night, killing a couple.
The deceased, Mohd. Sadullah, 47, and his wife Haseena, 44, were residents of Rudrangi mandal headquarters. They were travelling with three other family members to Chandurthi to attend a pre-wedding ceremony at a relative’s house when tragedy struck.
According to the police, the car overturned on the outskirts of Lingampeta after Sadullah, who was behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle. Haseena died on the spot, while Sadullah succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Karimnagar shortly after midnight.
