A couple was killed in a road accident and their two minor daughters were injured after a tipper lorry rammed their motorcycle on Tiruchi-Pudukottai national highway near Muthudaiyanpatti on Monday. The police gave the names of the deceased as S. Sathish Kumar, 43, and his wife S. Thilaga Chandra, 37.
Police sources said the couple with their minor daughters were proceeding to Pudukottai from Melamuthudaiyanpatti on a motorcycle in the evening when the tipper lorry collided head on with the two-wheeler killing Sathish Kumar and Thilaga Chandra on the spot.
