PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasised that the government abides by the spirit of the Federal Constitution and the decision of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong regarding the case involving former prime minister Najib Razak.
He said the government's stance is clear that the country cannot tolerate corruption or the act of taking national wealth for personal gain, Bernama reported.
"When we discuss the controversy surrounding Najib's case, I abide by the spirit of the Federal Constitution, but it does not prevent, for example, a prime minister from giving views and advice based on jurisprudence and the law.
