Council head at scene of shooting: 'We are strong, we will deepen our roots’

Yesha Council Chairman Yisrael Ganz spoke at the scene of the

deadly terrorist shooting attack in Binyamin

, describing the attack and the ongoing search for the terrorist who fled the scene.

“We are in the center of Binyamin, just a few hours before the holiest day of the year," Ganz said. “Here we have a spring, families with children. A mother and father were here at the spring, where terrorists came and shot at them."

“One of our people was very seriously injured. Right now he is in the hospital, and we are fighting to save his life," he added.

Ganz said that a soldier who responded to the attack opened fire at the terrorist, who subsequently fled.
