Several corruption-related cases involving public officials will come before Kenyan courts this week, with hearings and mentions scheduled in matters being pursued by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
According to the EACC court diary for September 7 to 11, 2026, the cases involve allegations including procurement violations, abuse of office, embezzlement, bribery and the use of fraudulent documents.
One of the cases scheduled for hearing is that of former Kenya Wildlife Service senior officers William Waweru Maina and another at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on Monday and Tuesday, September 7 and 8.
The two are charged with wilful failure to comply with applicable law relating to the procurement of services.
The allegations relate to the procurement of No. 1 uniform materials worth Sh11.5 million.
The Milimani Anti-Corruption Court will also hold a mention on Tuesday, September 8, in the case involving John Ngure Kabutha and 31 others.
