Coroner deems control measures 'appropriate', finds no need for inquest into fatal Bribie Island shark attack

A Queensland coroner has delivered a report into the death of 17-year-old Charlize Zmuda, who was attacked and killed by a shark on Bribie Island last year.

Coroner Carol Lee found there were "appropriate" shark control measures in place at the time, including 18 drumlines offshore.

The coroner said there was no need for an inquest into the accident, citing no ongoing uncertainty or suspicious circumstances.
